I have been coming to Retief Skin Center ever since I was in my early twenties. Dr. Retief and Missy were the first medical practitioners to tell me about spironolactone - which TOTALLY changed my life! I was running a very full photography business in which my female clients would share their insecurities about their acne - among other insecurities about how they look. I cannot count how many women, just like me, that I have told about spironolactone and Retief Skin Center!
Fast forward to now... I am 41 years old, and all of my teenagers’ friends cannot believe I am 41! I've been using Dr. Retief's products for nearly 10 years now, and I get complimented on my skin regularly. People cannot believe I am my age - Some even say I look like a college student !! I am so thankful I decided to make an appointment while in my early 30's. Dr Retief and staff are so approachable and kind, especially in an environment in which women can feel very vulnerable or "less than ".
After all these years, I finally decided to have neck lipo done by Dr. Retief - She also threw in a couple of other simple procedures, and I am astonished at the value of what I was able to get! I am amazed at the results of my neck lipo! The procedure was worth every penny! Of course, I had a ton of questions because spending that amount of money on my face is a very big deal to me which Dr Retief and her nurse knew. They were so encouraging, and understanding- not pretentious AT ALL!!! Dr. Retief even gave me her cell number if I had any questions, and when I texted her about my post-op questions, it was as though I was having a conversation with a good friend or even my mom. She is just so authentic, real, patient, and kind. Not to mention, I love the fact that all her products are so well-made without unnecessary ingredients that can often be very irritating and counterproductive to one's skin! Simple is always better.
I just love this place! And I've told so many of my Kentucy friends that they need to go to Retief Skin Center. I could have chosen any random Dermatology office to visit when I was 31or 32 years old, and I am so thankful that I found this wonderful place!
