Botox / DysportWhen used correctly, Botox and Dysport are the safest and most effective treatments for relaxation of facial lines and wrinkles. These treatments are generally not effective on patients who have significant lines at rest. Patients will only see subtle improvement with initial treatments. Botox and Dysport are also very effective treatment of headaches.
Fillers – Restylane / Juvederm / Perlane / Belotero Hyaluronic fillers which last 6-12 months. Less swelling is seen with Juvederm, although all fillers can produce a large amount of swelling in the lips.
Radiesse Non-surgical facial contouring filler that delivers an immediate lasting result. Typically lasts nine months to two years. Common treatment areas included the smile creases (nasolabial folds), Marionette lines, infraorbital troughs and cheeks. Cheek rejuvenation is an exceptional way to remove years of aging from the face by restoring fullness to the cheeks and improve the jawline. Even the nose can be reshaped to produce a smoother profile. Lips are not treated with this product.
Sculptra A skin stimulator that fills in smile lines, frown lines, cheek depressions and restores volume to the face caused by volume loss (lipoatrophy). Sculptra is injected into the skin and provides a gradual increase in skin thickness over time. Visible results appear gradually. Typically, 2-3 treatments are needed, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Results from Sculptra are not immediate but gradually occur over 2-3 months. This process is similar to blowing up a balloon in the area treated – a volumizer. Lasts 18 months to three years and very impressive. This is not a filler like Restylane or collagen. Lips are not treated with this product.
Elos Sublative RF (radio frequency) treatment A procedure that improves skin texture and fine lines. Tightens and smooths crepey skin. Effective with minimal downtime: 24 hours or less.
Elos SRA IPL (intense pulsed light) laser A laser procedure to address pigmentation and vein/capillary concerns. Minimal downtime; patient may experience redness and flaking.
Gentlelase / VBeam A combination of lasers used to reduce photodamage with minimal downtime. The VBeam eliminates broken capillaries and ruddiness of the face, chest and neck, while the Gentlelase removes pigmentation (age spots, pigmented scars, PIH, freckles and melasma). Some patients need only one of the specific lasers, but most patients need a combination of both lasers during each treatment.
Scar Revisions Traumatic, surgically induced and acne scars can be treated. Keep in mind that there is no treatment available that completely eliminates scars. You will see some improvements in scars with all the available treatment options, and results vary among patients. There are several types of scars, and some respond better to treatment than others.
CO2 Resurfacing / Fractionated CO2 Resurfacing From Microlaser resurfacing (lowest superficial) lowest energy equals most/least superficial damage , treats skin resurfacing texture + pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles
Total fx is active + deep, vs active fx (90%) & deep fx – everybody gets active from microlaser (light active fx turned all the way down), some get deep. Downtime: 4 days to 2 weeks with. Redness can last up to 8 weeks with Totalfx.
Mini Lift Minimally invasive facelift to correct lower face and neck sagging and drooping. This procedure is done under local and tumescent anesthesia. The patient is awake. Very safe procedure and lower cost due to outpatient nature of surgery. Results last 5-10 years.
Blepharoplasty Surgical procedure for eye rejuvenation. Corrects hooding, skin redundancy, can reshape eye area. Downtime: 2-3 weeks of bruising, sutures out in 1 week. Swelling for 3-4 days. Eyelid rejuvenation (TotalFX) There are many approaches to eyelid rejuvenation, depending on the pathology involved. The most common eyelid problems are crow’s feet (wrinkles), excess redundant skin / hooding of upper eyelid, excessive brow ptosis, herniation of the orbital, and/or prolapse of the lacrimal gland.
